got a 78 f150 4x4 looking at the cummins 4bta to put in, but it's almost 250 lbs heavier than my 351m how much of a concern is this?
anyone done this before or have any other suggestions?
i've always liked the idea of a diesel in an older truck, but im not sure if it's right for me. thanx for any advice -- Matt

You will have to do something with your front end support to compensate for the extra weight. That is unless you are looking to get a closer look at the road infront of your truck.

Good luck,

That extra 250lbs will only drop the front as much as a winch and bumper will... maybe an inch, or an inch and a half. Somewhere in there, there's a member with a PSD (IIRC), in his 78 Bronco.
