Hey guys i am tryin to make this decision on my own here but i just cant. I want a soft top, but i also want a cam and some headers, and i cant decide which to spend my money on. I am 16 so i dont have bookoos of money layin around or i would just buy both things and it would be no problem at all, but alas that is not the situation.
The soft top would be a specialty fast track that goes for about 620$
the cam would be either a crane cam designed for off road or the lunati truck avenger cam. I would be going for the duffs long tube headers as well.

Thanks.

flip a coin...go with the winner first save a little while get what you want next..thats what alot of us have to do.i went with a cam/manifold/carb from edelbrock, then traded out the old lift with new parts.now i am saving up for a few parts to go bigger and taller. i am 40 years old and in a career and so is my wife but money doesnt grow on trees..i think i heard that from my parents when i was your age. take your time and do it the way you want it. it may take a little longer but it will be done the way you want.....good luck...dave

In my opinion, you are better off saving your money for college. But if you have to spend some on the Bronco, go with a new cam and/or headers. Buy a $20 tarp for those rainy days. I used one for about two years before finding my Skyler top.

My advice Yellow is go for the softtop, you put it on and that's it. You get the cam and headers and then, the merry go round starts, remove the top end to install cam, modify exhaust to suit headers and believe me it does not stop there. but hey if you are a keen mechanic then go for it.

go for the cam and engine stuff first cuz you can always just unbolt the 4 bolts on the top anytime u want it off and save 400$...but im still tryin to make money to buy one, but that will be after I get a huge lift and tires

Go with the cam and headers. I was going to do this as well, untill I found out that i was going to school sooner than expected. Oh well.

I've had good luck in the past with a mild Isky RV/truck cam. Assuming you have a 351W V8, this or the Lunati is a good choice. Just don't get too radical, or you lose too much vacuum to operate brakes and other accesories. The key word is "MILD". That is a bit more than stock but not a whole bunch.

Save your money, go to school, get a high paying job. 16 year old girls like Topless, and Loud. They don't care about the rest. I have 16 year old TWINS I know.

I say go for the headers and cam. I'm 15 and college is still 4 years away. That's what work is for, right?
