Last Sunday, after just having installed a new battery tray/battery under the cab, at my son's place, I was quite pleased with myself and decided to call it a day and go home. When approaching the first T intersection ready to stop for stopsign this white thing suddenly appeared in front of me an slammed into my left front wheel doing about 60 KPH(40 MPH). My steering wheel flew around at 1000 KPH and took my hand with it, luckily only badly bruised. Stepped out to see six young wallies scramble from the toyota, none of them hurt. The driver, on a provisional licence,
had according to a witness, been exceeding the speed limit an had taken the corner way too fast on a wet road. Damage , his car atraight to the scrap yard, F100 bent bumper and damaged left front fender, or so I thought until I drove home and the steering was way out of wack. Took it to a specialist next day and the chassis is twisted one inch, left front tyre rubbing against extractor pipe when turning left, luckily it can be fixed, kid in toyota insured. The guys were lucky they hit rubber, otherwise there would have been some blood spilled, and I was lucky to be driving my FORD F100, solid as a rock.
Moral, if you have to have an accident have it in a truck.
