T-case Gears

OK, I'm not sure how the darn contraption works, but when ya yank it into 4 wheel drive, does all the power to front and rear axles run thru the t-case?
If so, I'm thinking that it wuld be easier to just reduse the gear ratios in the t-case rather than the axles. Not sure if this approach wuld work, but am looking for ideas.

You are correct but changing the gears in the transfer case is much more complicated and expensive than changing the axle gears. If money is an issue you might tray finding a mechanic who would be willing to do it in their off time for less than what a shop would charge.

OK....so how does one make a doubler to install in the drive train? I like the idea!
That is of course as long as it doesn't cost tens of thousands of dollars. :blink:
