I just replaced the shift collar on my 76 F250. This is an automatic and now actuating the shifter on the collumn will not engaqe or actuate the shift lever which comes out the bottom of the steering collume in the engine compartment. Any suggestions????????

I just replaced the shift collar on my 76 F250. This is an automatic and now actuating the shifter on the collumn will not engaqe or actuate the shift lever which comes out the bottom of the steering collume in the engine compartment. Any suggestions????????
