New to this forum and see alot of good and useful information. Good to see!! My 77 has a 460 and I recently changed out the original intake manifold for a Edelbrock performer. The original developed a hole at the base of the carb. I reinstalled the carb which is an original motocraft and before the swap there were no problems with the choke setup and after for some reason its like the carb is getting too much vacuum. The choke slams shut so tightly, you have to tap it with a wrench to get it to open back up. It does this as you crank the engine to start it after it has set for a couple weeks. Once warmed up it doesn't do it anymore. Anyone heard of this before?
Here is a picture of my truck.
