i need to go to a 302 from a 351m what motor mounts do i need and will the trans from the 351 m work iam new to ford i just come over from the chevy world it is a 79 f50 4x4

you will need the 302 or 351w engine perches and a small block transmission- c4/c6/aod- be sure you have all the pulleys and brackets for the 302 as the aftermarket ones are quite expensive

a 351m will not mount to your transmission if you have a 302 in it now. a 351m has the same bolt pattern as a 429 and the 460. the 302 has the same bolt pattern as a 351windsor and a 351cleveland.i have a 351c in a 79 f150 shortbed with a set of 71 351 boss closed chambered heads that runs well,but the 351w is a good choice as well they are easy to find parts for
