I have a 78 f150 with a 400m and i put an after market intake and carb. Both are edelbroch. The intake is an rpm and the carb is a 600 cfm. The problem i have is thta when i give it gas if falls on its face as if it floods itself. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

First is your timing correct and your vacuum hose connected to the correct spot to your carb. not your intake?

Yeah, I have checked my timing and i only have three vacume lines on my truck, one for the brake booster, one for the vacume advance on my distributer and one one for my transmission. But some people i have talked to say i am pushing to much gas for my head setup since they are stock. But thatnks for the input.

I found the problem. It was the vacume advance on my distributor. It was not working properly. Thanks for your help.
