Hey ... I'm new to this forum. I JUST bought an '89 F250 for $1000.00, hoping to fix it up and drive it forever.
It has the 351 (5.8L) V8 with EFI.
Problem: It's hesitating after it warms up ... sometimes it will even stall out on the highway. It will run real smooth, then suddenly crap out for awhile.
More info:
- New plugs, Dist. Cap, Rotor, Plug Wires, Coil
- New on-rail fuel pump
- New Fuel Filter.
Any ideas? Thanks for any help you can provide.

does it surge real bad at an idle? theres 2 sensors on your TB that go bad and they can cause it to surge and stall
No ... it doesn't really surge at all ... just coughs occasionally and even dies sometimes.
Could it be the fuel injectors? Fuel pump relay? Tank fuel pumps?

injectors and in tank pumps are a possibility..as for the relays i highly doubt it..all my years of wheelin fords i have never had an intermitent problem with a relay..they are usually either bad or good...as i said im having the same problem with my 250...i changed my TPS (throttle positioning sensor) and it took a lot of my hesitation away
