everytime my truck reaches just under 1/2 a tank it starts spittin, studderin, stalling, cutting out, and dying for hours at a time. after i put gas in it it runs great until i get to just under half tank. i have used water remover, i drained the gas a little while ago will refill with gas and see what happens. any ideas what the problem could be thanks for any info.

sounds to me like you've got a hole in your gas tube... it's what happened to a sentra of mine a loooong time ago. the gas ate up a bit of the tube that the gas gets sucked through, so when it gets to a certain level, it goes out the hole instead of the filter/lines etc.... which is why when you fill it up with gas, the hole is covered and it starts workin again

think of it like a straw that you hit too hard to get the paper off and it made a crack in the side, you try to drink from it without the hole submersed in the drink and it's harder to suck through

i has a 79 F150 that did that and i just changed out the gas gage and that fixed it. that is some thing to look at.
