Have 1994 Ford Ranger 4x4, 4 Litre engine, replaced clutch , new hydralic slave cylinder, turned flywheel new u joints .
Tranmission upshifts ok but does not downshift, I have to come to a stop before the transmission can be shifted into first gear.
I had a mechanic look at the transmission while it was out of the vehicle, he said everything appeared to shift ok, but once back into the truck the problem is still there.
Please help me I am not working at the time so I can not afford a transmission shop.
