Of course, I'm new here. I'm the proud owner of a '72 F-100 Ranger 4WD. It was custom-ordered by my mom's youngest brother and still is much the same as it was when it was built in November of 1971. My uncle sold it to my folks, after a while. My whole family drove this truck, with my dad doing the most. Both my brother and I learned to drive in it. It was my major ride to high school. And, I became it's owner about six years ago. Currently, it takes a sheltered spot in my garage to keep any more 'elemental' damage from occuring. Don't get me wrong, to see this gem would probably make many think it's in great shape with a layer of dust on it.
I haven't driven it, since it managed to fail it's last emissions test. It's gotten quite tired, and needs some work to get it back on the road. And, I'd rather do the full-scale resto on it, instead of doing piecemeal work to keep it on the road. I've learned in my past projects, that doing things twice sucks. And, anything worth doing is worth right, not half-way.
I don't have any photos of it in it's glory. So, I'll have to get it rolling again to snap some new ones. Hopefully, there's a ton of help here to get it back in shape the right way.
