i have a 78 sc 2wd 400 c6 edelbrock performer intake, 650 cfm carb, headers, automatic. can i swap the front i-beam suspension for a solid axle (d44 or D60) and convert it to 2wd??? i know i should be looking for a 4wd instead, however i got this truck real cheap and im wondering if it is possible or what i should do. any ideas and comments would be appriciated. have a great night every one. :D

I have a 73 crewcab that I converted from 2wd to 4wd . It's all in how good you are as a fabricator or know someone that is.

Damn sure. And you want to pay attention to how far apart your frame rails are too. That figures into the mix.
