Just bought this truck and I am falling for it. It seems obvious the previous owner did not want to replace harness and bypassed just about everything to switches, right down to the reverse lights. This is no good in my eyes. I see JcWhit and some others ask around 500 for a new one. I find this outrageous for a group of copper wires, I can't see this part comparable in price to a major mechanical component.. So can anyone refer me to either a boneyard that definitely has this truck around or someone who is parting one out. I am in Mass, so unless the price is a steal, don't want to order from west coast or central. I would love to be able to put a meter on it to check continuity before I buy it or a guarantee return if unsatisfied. I realize that an old one may experience rot, but if I can diagnose the problem before install I can clean it up first with minor replacement wires. Thanx folks

I have a complete wiring harness for a 75 which is the same.

Everything worked on the cab and underhood wiring and there aren't any butchered wires.

Because there several sections of wiring on these trucks.. Exactly how much of the wiring harnesses do you need?

You can have the complete cab and Underhood wiring for $100.00 USD plus shipping.

I guarantee this harness to not be faulty.

You can contact people from FTE or FTF to know I can be trusted.

Well ok, that sounds fair to me, how do we go about this transaction? For the price I will take the entire assembly. This is not to be my primary vehicle but I want it to be right. To simplify contact, please email me at [email protected] I do want this truck to be the beast in the east!! Does this include wires going to the tail. To be honest I'm not sure how much the previous owner bypassed electrical components. It's too cold to screw around like that in Mass. But if there is a way for me to bring it to a shop and have them reverse the process and make it right, that is my objective. When I start the truck the makers are on, whether lights are on or not. So its safe to assume thats hot wired. What state are you in, if near buy I may come get it.
Thanx

Sounds like you opted for the 50 dollar extra pain in the a**. Universal means you wire it totally and no testing says it will ever work right. Hope you have some electrical engineering experience so it don't end up in a ball of flames.

well thanx for the heads up, I'm confident as long as the wires reach there destination correctly that my friends and I can do it correctly. Besides there are fuses to prevent a ball of fire, hehe. Each wire is labeled to their respective destinations. Full instructions. I would rather the extra 50 for all that and not order international. As far as engineering goes that is a little much. An amp probe will be fine.
