Hi, i got an 80 f150 4x4...just noticed that the crossmember in the front where the motor and everthing bolt up to is cracked. Its cracked right where it meets the frame by next to the steering box. My question is is there any where i got buy a new one? Wud it hold up if it where welded? or shud i just try and find one in another truck and swap it out?

This may not be right but i would try to weld it or take it to a welding shop to get there opinion to see if it will crack again.
Well my buddy is a welder and he said it can be done, he going to stick weld it and then weld a plate over top for extra support
