NEW TO THE FORUM and thanks for having a great place to discuss our griefs. anywho i have a 1970 F-250 the brakes have always worked awesome i mean for such a big truck its the camper special anyway the rear end started leaking from a wheel cylinder and i let it go for awhile till one day the pedal didnt feel right so i checked and it was low on fluid so then i filled it back up and away i went the brakes felt fine again. then a few weeks went by and now the pedal is hard as hell to push it goes half way and then becomes rathr hard to puch you really gotta push to get the truck to stop now i feel the truck wanting to stop but it gonna slides abit then coms to a halt. i replaced the rear wheel cylinders, hardware kit, and shoes,still same thing, then i replaced the master cylinder,same thing,brake booster,same ting,front brake hoses same thing,calipers,samething,finally the brake boosterSAME THING HELP ME i am going to the poor house and cant safely drive my truck, i even thought about the PROP valve but was told if theres pressure at the calpers and wheel cylinders then that cant be it has anybody experienced this and what did they come up with??? any help would be greatly appreciated as i am at my wits end. ALSO on a lighter note the truck is aslo FOR SALE nice florida/texas truck never seen snow,salt, all original, mostly aside from the parts listed are all brand spanking new, plus lots of other stuff done to it as well i am a mechanic by trade and for the life of me have never experienced anything like this before.......HELP

Welcome to the zone, good lookin original truck. Since you replaced everything you may want to think about cleaning the lines with air, they maybe clogged. the calipers maybe binding on mounting pins or brake shoes dragging on support plate. This maybe way off but there might be low engine vacuum if you have a booster on the truck.

Thanks for the compliment, yeah we checked the vacuum this morning and its at 20 inch which i was told was fine and as far as cleaning the brake lines the pressure coming out when we bleed them is insane, its really baffling me cause as i said before i have never seen anything like this before. thanks again and any other info or insight and i will give it a go(lol)

check the valve in the brake booster and the rear rubber brake line. The valves will give a hard pedal. Also check the hose coming off the manifold to the valve in the booster for a loose fit. If so--replace it--if it has cracks in it--replace it.
