im looking to put a front axle under my 84 f250 2x4 i was jus wondering what are my options fro mounting the axle (i.e. coil springs or leaf springs) does any body build a kit for this, my budies 79 bronco's d-44 with coils looks like it bolt right in. i rather run leaf springs but am unsure if i can.

Independent front suspension U could put whole front from F150 under it (easyest) convert to 8 bolt . Its almost a basic bolt in .

The 77-79 dana 40 is a common swap . Use existing spring buckets . And put entire front set up under truck . Rad Arms, brackets . Most use 90's F350 link system .
U will need to lift it 2"-4" or cut the motor cross member.

But a F350 dana 60 can be put under the truck with some custom mounts for the leaf springs ,

Just ask questions and research which one sounds best to u.

Yes you can run leaf springs. While I don't or at least have not done the swap myself my brother in law has done plenty. In fact in the near future he is doing to coil spring conversions for me. Best place I can suggest to look for info our sister website Broncozone under 80 -96 bronco SAS Swaps I think the guys name is Just Shoot Me 83 his name is Steve he has done this as well as many other swaps ie complete OBD I to OBD II

I am on both sites because I have both Trucks
