Sounds like you need to check front hubs out . f manual Jack truck up lock hub in and spin wheel by hand to see if turning front axle .Take them apart and clean them . If they both seem to work fine and the front shaft turns as said its in the gears .And the center section is easy to swap with a donor

Allot of these trucks had auto hubs . They can go at any time . If your dose you can try to remove /clean them . But they probably need replaced. My local u pull charges $20 for set hubs.

Good luck

Oh unless u want to spend $500 + at dealer . Avoid them. Their parts and labor will kill you in $$$. If you can change a tire u can fix a hub issue .

Find a good mom and pop or a fellow F150 lover to help u .

i do have auto hubs i will see what happens when i jack it up an see if they will lock but i dont think they will. so i will take the hubs out an inspect them and can they be rebuilt or do i just need to replace the whole unit.
