I have a 93 reg cab long box. I am making a custom bed for it. I am thinking about putting an ext cab or crew cab on it. It will have a 6" lift and a SAS. Other than welding in new mounts, will it fit onto the frame? Are there any humps in the frame that would limit me, or are they straight and flat enough for me to squeeze it on there?

Hi. I've seen it done on tv. My guess would be your going to need the cab mounts from the extended cab or four door which ever you intend to use. are you working on a half ton 3/4 one ton? if it's a half ton and you gotta have 4 doors i'd say chop the frame other wise find you an extended cab donor truck to swap your drivetrain into or a complete truck. if it's a 3/4 or 1 ton find your a donor frame and cab. these trucks seems to be getting harder to find in the salvage yards though because of the scrap prices a few years ago. the problem your going to run into is right behind the cab on the truck the frame goes up to the bed so your going to have to either extend the fram out flat or notch the floor in your cab. again i would try to find a donor truck or a complete truck. i've been there and done a 4wd swap on my f150 and it was all bolt in but i think for the money i ended up in it with parts hear and there to rebuild used parts i could've sold my truck and bought a decent 4wd truck to lift. hope this helps some.

Yep there is a hump right bellow cab at can mounts . The sc & crew r longer between that and front cab mounts. But with a body lift anything will work. With modification.

The sc would look OK but crew bed would be cut way down.

With the custom mount cab swap . wire changes ( every year is different 92-93 94-95 96 .) cutting the bed down and related body work . Id get a other truck or donor cab frame. I got 3 in the yard . Myself I'm using a F350 2 wd drive crew frame and put the F150 4x4 drive train in it . I'll have a F150 crew with 8 ft bed . Now thats different .

Also check your state . here I'd have to get a reconstructed title for a build like yours. where using the cab and frame and title from donor truck . I have little to do .

According to me it should fit.With proper welding their will be no chance of error.So best of luck.
