i have a 1989 f250 with a 351w efi. sometimes it starts without feathering the gas and sometimes i have to give it gas for a few seconds to get it running. engine will idle up and down and eventually dies. sometimes it idles high then smoothes out for i little bit then dies. any ideas? possibly the tps or IAC valve? i replaced the fuel filter and couldnt find any vaccume leaks. fuel pump sounds like its running fine. it will stay running as long as i apply gas and sometimes it dies when i let off. thanks

i would start by cleaning out the IAC and running some seafoam engine cleaner through the engine then see if it runs any better.
