this inst the 1st time ive had tranny problems last time ive had an issue but last time it went away but now it back i was stopped at a light an i took off an my truck ran high rpms and wound not shift. so i left off the gas to seee if it would shift an it did. but then it did it again. i checked the fluid level an thats fine. my truck also idles normal an when i rev it up its also normal. i had my roommate look at it and drive it but he dont know whats wrong with it. if i was back home i would have my dad look at it but thats kinda hard when i'm in ohio. so if anyone could help me out here that would be great thanks.

When was the last time you had the filter and fluid changed? Could also be the modulator valve.

and don,t forget it could be a torque convertor. I,d forst check the# 1 line on the moderlator(its on the side of the transmission) #2 change the fluid and transmission filter #3then if everything has been done and it still does it. I,d suspect the torgue convertor.

Sorry for the first post with nothing on it. I`m new to all this (scary huh?). Anyways, 95`s don`t have modulators. They are electronicaly controlled. The shift cable could be stretched or out of adlustment. Try putting it in 2nd or 1st. Another problem could be the manuel lever position sensor on the side of the transmission where the shift linkage goes in. The other suggestions are good though.
