i was playing in the snow back here in idaho a few weeks ago.broke through the top crust of ice.took a couple hours of digging and a way cool tow truck driver to get me out. all i could do with my winch was dig ditches as the closest tree was about 300 yards away. i was all the way up to my floor boards and still had two feet to go to get to the dirt. best thing was the tow truck only charged me $25.00 ,cash of course. his truck slid backwards about 20 feet before he stuck enough to pull me out. i was in about 5 1/2-6 feet of snow. sure was a good stuck.
