Does a 1990 ford f 150 have a resistor wire? My truck had a 5.8 motor.Just put a fe 352 and automatic tranny in the truck.I have been knocking out the coils.I bought a ballast resistor like the dodges used from advance and still the coil gets hotter than hell.Could use some good help.Thanks

are you sure its wired up right? which ignition system did you use? there is no way that any of the systems would be blowing coils unless you tried to mate one type of ignition system with another.

what year is the FE block?
