I think I know the answer to this question, but I am looking for someone who actually knows. Is the frame on a 1978/79 F150 different than the frame on a F250. I have a 150 and would like to make it a 250 so I can pull our goose necks with it. Im just wondering if I can put the heavier axles under it or do I need to find a whole chassis. It also has a 400 engine that has had recent work according to the previous owner. He said it had a new cam and new heads and some other stuff done to it. Shortly after it was done it started smoking real bad, still runs good, just smokes. I have pulled the plugs and cylinder #5 plug is oiled up. Looking for suggestions of if it is the head or the rings, and how to verify which before I take the time to pull the motor.
