1994 F-150 4x4 Regular cab SWB.
I am in dire straits and need some advice. I am in the middle of swapping out my original 5.0L engine N type. I have a new 5.0 HO crate motor,I've had since I bought the truck. I couldn't pass at the price at the time.
18 years later I'm ready to do my swap. The question I have is the following:
My original engine and new engine have to meet the insane CARB rules of California. The 4RW70 was rebuilt by Level 10 too long ago but I've kept up the fluid and filter changes, rear end was rebuilt by RAM Rear Ends with a Spicer limited slip 8.55.
Every modification I did on my original engine was CARB legal. Well almost all;) Original engine has stock block, 1.7 crane roller rockers(not CARB legal, but passes smog), BBK 56MM twin throttle body, Ford Motorsport(powerdyne supercharger), Hedman Headers, Mallory coil, K&N air filter(stock).

Can I use the HO Camshaft?
New engine is stock 5.0 HO engine w 1.7 Crane roller rocker arms, Cloyes HD timing chain w adjustable sprocket, High Volume oil pump.

My old engine has 137,000 miles on it. If you suggest I use the Truck Cam should I use the one out of my old engine?
In the past if you suggest using the truck cam over the HO cam I'd just buy a new one. The problem is now, I'm on a small fixed income and money is an issue. This replacement engine is part of my rehabbing my truck as it will be my last ride. I can't see buying anything else new or used. Since I'm the original owner and the Truck is straighter then my spine and I doubt I'll be driving in 15 years why not just rehab it?

This is a now or never project and I have limited time to get this done. I'm scheduled for back surgery end of February :<$
Old engine is out and prepping new one including replacing valve seals, gaskets and main seals, since it has sat so long. Rebuilding fuel injectors and misc. Going to make sure it's all clean, and pre-lube and oil everything. Any other suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
