My daughter has an 86 Bronco full size 5.0 L it starts cutting out aat 15 mph
she has changed the distributor cap and rotor the coil and the idle air control valve.
I am at a loss for answers, I was just told that the accelerator control switch might be the problem.
When the car is in park she can rev the motor up to the point that you would think it would blow.
And has not cutting out ... When she puts it in drive the engine cits out at 15 mph.
Any help would be helpfull....SEA BRONC .... You have an answer for me!!!!!! AyonePLEASE"

Look under the hood in the dark. Have someone rev the engine when in park and then when in drive... You are looking for any sparks from the plug wires. I'm thinking that when the truck is in park the motor doesn't move enough to create a problem but when the motor is under load it moves enough to have a wire close enough to arc and cause your problem...

Have you changed the wires and plugs? I would assume you did but you know what happens when you assume...

have you tried to replace the throttle positioning sensor or the map sensor ( manifold absolut pressur). sometimes they both go at once or one at a time. I had the same issue on my 5.0 in my old f150
DAMN!!!! YUR GOOD!!!!
I had mt daughter replace both and which ever one it was It worked!!!
All she has to do now is replace the exhaust manifold on the drivers side. I have been told that
the exhaust manifold on the drivers side has a habbit of showing a crack. Hers broke thru and you can hear it
so I want to replace it before the vale gets too screwed up
.
I just want to say thanks for the help!!! Do you know of any Bronco clubs out here in Ca.????
We can't find any. Just alot of drugies and Drunks with Broncos
Thanks very Much// John
