Anyway, I'm a poor college student at RPI in Troy, NY (just outside Albany) so this should make a great winter car to replace my '85 AMC Eagle 4x4. This is pretty much the first Bronco site I came across, but it looks like there's a ton of information out there on the web. If you've got some links to great sites it'd be much appreciated.
I've got two other cars that I'm working on right now. First is a 1973 AMC Javelin that I purchased, um, four years ago now (boy does time fly). It's just about done now but alas I don't have any money to spend on it now, and anyway there's no chance that I'd bring it up to college to suffer through a Troy winter. So it's tucked safely into the garage until the spring/summer when I hopefully have some funds to spend on it.
Second car I'm working on is a 1988 Audi Quattro 90 Series. It's not my car, but I'm working on building it into a rally car for a friend. Nothing serious, we just want to have some fun with it. Best thing is I don't have to pay a dime. Which is good, because the car really is a piece of poop. But it's fun to tool around in and should be even more fun to autocross and rally race. And what a learning experience this thing is, I've never seen a more monkey hacked engine compartment in my life, cut and spliced wires everywhere, missing sensors, plugged holes. Makes the Bronco engine bay look like a model of cleanliness.
Enough ranting, I've got some learning to do about this car, I pretty much know nothing about it, it was my uncle's car which he sold to me. He bought a Chevy Blazer with the small block 350, since he's got a lot of towing to do he needed something more suited to the task.
