I picked up a 1979 F-250 that was sitting out in a field for 10 years. The body is in great shape but the chassis is pretty rusted out, all drive line seals are bad, and it needs a all new brake system. It has a straight six with a four speed trans. I'm in Iraq and I'm trying to order parts that I know that I need but I'm having trouble finding things because it has a I-6 and nobody has that in there options. The frame is straight, but the rear shock and spring mounts are rusted away. The front suspension isn't that bad but I think it better to replace the whole thing while I'm at it. I talked to the owner and he bought the truck brand new and never did anything to it.

If anybody knows where I can get this type of parts. let me know. I live in Michigan down by the Indiana boarder.

well if your interested I have a 75 f-250 that I've done allot of work to on the mechanical side, like new gears front and back, totally new front end with disc breaks, and it has a round bale hay lift on it that you can put your good body parts on, my body parts kinda suck

If your looking for parts for an engine and your still in the desert. Goto the web sight for Performance Automotive Warehouse and order a catalog. They have every single thing you will ever need for a domestic engine. I had a new performance 400 Cleveland built for my truck and had the parts almost overnight from them. They are great as far as help and prices. If your looking for restoration parts. There is 2 places. LMC truck is good but sometimes expensive. Also there is Dennis Carpenter. They have treated me really well. And If you tell them your in the desert. They will hook you up. You can also download thier catalog on the net. B) B)
