i pulled a bulb out and used a test light and no power is getting to the back up lights so, could it be caused by the safety nuetral switch?? Help!!

Yes, it's most likely the NSS. 78-79 are on the side of the transmission at the shift linkage. Remove it and clean it out with some brake clean and re install it. -Ed
