To tell year turn over the Number Following letter combo will be year ie. FT2 would be a 92 , Any trans will work just swap center section .
The center speedometer section is the POSOM u can swap this to keep your miles it will pop out towards you by applying even pressure.
Cluster removal
Disconnect battery
Pull out headlight knob and remove (small screw driver in notch)
Remove trim in surround( flat screw driver will pop them out
Remove 2 screws behind trim
If auto trans turn key (keep foot on Brake) to put shifter in 1st
this will help get surround out .
Pull evenly at top towards you the surround will pop out .Remove put truck in park
Remove knee panel (don't have to BUt help keep from breaking
shift indicator cable)
Un hook and loosen shift cable if Auto trans . (it hooks right side behind knee panel and runs under steering column.)Watch it dose not hang up on removal of cluster .
loosen outer hex /torx screws
Pull out cluster as far as can and reach behind to unhook wire plugs . There r tabs on each end of plugs.
U can remove 2 screws holding shift indicator in or fish cable out
Remove cluster
The cluster can removed reinstall in reverse
