[Old Red F-150]

The air pump on my 1984 F-150 is squealing, can I just remove the belt? The belt is a direct belt off the alternator with nothing that does not drive anyting else. If I do this will it mess with any computer setting on this old of a truck?

thats a random post. the only computer an 84 has is for the ignition system, the air pump just pumps air into the exhaust to bring the emission levels down. so yes you can just take the belt off.
