I drove my Bronco today and the ALT light started coming on at idle,my Auto meter gauge showed less that 12 volts. So I changed the alternator, now the Alt light stay's on all the time and I'm charging 14.24 volt's.My light's are not flickering any more at idle either. What's the deal with the light?

If you really want to, get under dash and find the wire going to the red light, cut and tape it off. Its a dummy light and since you have a voltage gauge you should be good to go.

Fixed it.The voltage regulator blew a circuit in it.
