Hey I got a 99 RANGER 3.0 V6 4x4 but engine to noisy and has no power at all I realy like my truck but would like to swap the engine with a 4.0L, does any one know if it fits the same tranny oh by the way its a 5 speed standart and do I have to change the computer module , please help!!

4.0 might use slightly higher axle gears for fuel mileage. May be able to switch bellhousing only? I don't know but if the bells are the same bolts in the same patterns on both the blocks AND transmissions and are the same depth and widths inside you have a start.
