How old is carb? the idle speed could be in need of adjustment, choke sticking, or a vacuum leak at carb, intake manifold, or vacuum hoses. have you changed fuel filter or fuel pump?

i changed the fuel filter and the choke is workin fine...when i first goto start it, i push the pedal to the floor and let it up....the choke opens up about 1/8in -1/4in so thats fine...it just shuts off after running for 20mins

Is it hard to start after it shuts off or does it start right up?

hard to start...like i got a new ignition module and put washers behind it to give it air flow so it doesnt overheat...could it be the solenoid on the fender? thats the only thing i didnt change when i did the tune up

if it was the solenoid, the engine would not rotate, so you can probably rule that out since the engine starts anyway. the carb maybe flooded, has it been rebuilt lately? Also this may not be it but has the air filter been changed because there may not be sufficient enough air reaching carb after the choke opens up. (I think I maybe way off on the last suggestion)

yes, check the gap, if you havent already done so, you might want to install a new fuel pump.

if its getting fuel then the pump should be fine, check the gap and check the timing just to be sure.

ok i got 8 more plugs so im just gonna take those ones out and put the new in...the timing can throw off the truck that bad, where it starts fine once and then its hard to start afterwards?

its probably not the timing but its a good idea to check it after the tune-up to keep engine performance at its best. keep us posted on what happens.
