every time i check the fluid level there metal shaving on the plug. my dad took it apart an replaced the pinon bearing because thats what it looked like that was y it was doing that. But I'm not sure that's the problem cause im still getting metal shaving.

ok there more to replace bearing
did he ajust bearing play and lash
bacause diff bearing are not like wheel bearing there to lose will be noisy to tigth wear out fast
and did he clean all the parts because if matal parts must of damage ring gear and side bearing outpu shaft tooth
run it like that if you need truck every day get use diff or get it rebuild
auto repair my job here and ford bronco 2 ranger and truck my hooby ;)
