I have a 1994 F350 with 5.8l gas engine. It starts and it is making explosions. When I put it in gear the motor gets real weak and dies. It also gets hot. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I have put new plugs and I think timing is good.

Head gasket ?
Check your oil for water...
