Hi All -

Im new to the forum so I appreciate any help!!

Ive recently acquired my father's 1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT, 351 cleveland, 4WD blah blah blah (more info, just don't want to bore everyone with unnecessary info)...he passed away in January and left me the truck

Anyways, my first part to address is a "stuck" red brake light on the dash. It stays on always. The brakes appear to operate fine - at least no worse than expected. Just driving the beast around town for ice-cream with my daughter for now....

Ive checked the master cylinder and the reservoir is full. After that I am stuck.....cant pass emissions without this first fix.

Any ideas?

UPDATE - if I'm learning the right info - the master cylinder has nothing to do with E-brake light on dash and there are no electronics on this MC to give warning to braking system....so this MUST be a problem with e-brake.
