4xfan78,I spun it up to 6500 rpm but after 5500-5600 rpm it fell off.Talk about nail bitting, after we ran it on the dyno for 20 min to break in the cam we changed oil and jetted the carb then wham,he pulled it right to 6400-6500 rpm.Talking about being nervous. My friend who helped me build it(I should say he pretty much did it all)said he was going to break it in like I was going to run it.That how he does all his motor's.

I think that would make me alittle paranoid also. What kind of engine work did you have to do to get that amount of power? I am getting ready to rebuild my 400 just need a few ideas.

hey sweepersgr8, there is a big difference in power and fuel econ. im getting about 12 versus the previous 8 mpg and there is a lot more power on tap when i want it. as for cold weather, the coldest it ever gets around here is about 40. most of the time is is hot and i think the average temperature year round is like 74. during the summer like today it is like 94 with a hear index of 105 so i would rather have the air as cold as possible year round.

p. s. i live in the lowcountry.

Freak- You have an awsome Bronco and an even more awesome engine by the sounds of it. 4xfan78- My bronco looked bad when I got it too but it just takes work.
